Size:
 (S, M, L, XL)

Yarn
Blended sport weight yarn. You can use any type of yarn you prefer. Approximately 80g – 100g.

Hook
3 mm or any size needed to obtain gauge.

Gauge
5 rows of 12 dc  = 2” x 2” inch/ 5 x 5 cm.

Stitches used
Chain stitch (ch), slip stitch (sl st), single crochet (sc), double crochet (dc).

Abbreviation: 
Wrong side (WS), right side (RS),chain (ch), stitch (st), stitches (sts), space (sp), next (nxt), yarn over (yo).

Instructions:
First ch 3 in every rows count as first dc.
Direction in parentheses are for (S, M, L, XL).

Begin:
Chain (29, 31, 33, 35) + 2

Row 1(RS): 
Dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in the next (4, 5, 6, 7) sts, ch 3, skip 3 ch, sc in nxt ch, ch 8, skip 4 ch, sc in nxt ch, ch 8, skip 4 ch, sc in nxt ch, ch 3, skip 3 ch, dc in the nxt (6, 7, 8, 9) sts across. Turn.

Now you are going to expand your work by adding 2 sts on each side.

Row 2(WS): 
Ch 3, dc in the first st, 2 dc in nxt st, dc in each sts across, ch 8, skip 3 ch-sp, sc in nxt 8 ch-sp, ch 8, sc in nxt 8 ch-sp, ch 8, skip 3 ch-sp, dc in each sts across until 2 sts remain, 2 dc in each of the last 2 sts. Turn.

Row 3: 
Ch 3, dc in the first st, 2 dc in nxt st, dc in each sts across, ch 3, sc in 8 ch-sp, ch 8, sc in nxt 8 ch-sp, ch 8, sc in nxt 8 ch-sp, ch 3, dc in each sts across until 2 sts remain, 2 dc in each of the last 2 sts. Turn.

Row 4-(20, 22, 24, 26): 
Repeat row 2-3 alternately.

After row (20, 22, 24, 26), stop adding 2 sts on each side.

Row (21, 23, 25, 27): 
Ch 3, dc in each sts across, ch 3, sc in 8 ch-sp, ch 8, sc in nxt 8 ch-sp, ch 8, sc in nxt 8 ch-sp, ch 3 , dc in each sts across. Turn.

Row (22, 24, 26, 28):
Ch 3, dc in each sts across, ch 8, skip 3 ch-sp, sc in nxt 8 ch-sp, ch 8, sc in nxt 8 ch-sp, ch 8, skip 3 ch-sp, dc in each sts across. Turn.

Row (23, 25, 27, 29)-(30, 32, 34, 36):
Repeat row 23-24 alternately.

Row (31, 33, 35, 37):
 Ch 3, dc in each sts across, ch 3, sc in the nxt 8 ch-sp, ch 4, sc in the nxt 8 ch-sp, ch 4, sc in the nxt 8 ch-sp, ch 3, dc in each sts across.

Do not cut off yarn, continue to make hole for the string.

*Ch 8, sl st in the 2nd ch from hook and in each sts across, 2 sc in the nxt dc-sp, remove your hook from the st, insert hook in the last st of ch 8 and back to where you first left off, sc in the nxt dc-sp, pull through all 3 loops on hook, sc in the same dc-sp.*

Continue to make 2 sc in each of the nxt 8 dc-sp across, repeat * to *,
2 sc in each of the nxt (20, 22, 24, 26) dc-sp across.

Now proceed to make the first string.

Ch 250, sl st in 2nd ch from hook and each sts across.

#Sc in top of each dc st across, 3 sc in 3 ch-sp, sc in nxt st, 4 sc in nxt 4 ch-sp, sc in nxt st, 4 sc in nxt 4 ch-sp, sc in nxt st, 3 sc in 3 ch-sp, sc in top of each dc st across#

Continue to make the second string.

Ch 250, sl st in 2nd ch from hook and each sts across.

2 sc in each of the nxt (20, 22, 24, 26) dc-sp across, repeat * to *, 2 sc in each of the nxt 8 dc-sp across, repeat * to *.

Repeat # to #, ch 2. Fasten off. Weave in ends.

And you’re done.
