The Happy Unraveler

Hello everyone, it's been a while since I posted my last design and finally as requested, I made a crocheted sweater and this is the outcome.

I wanted to make a sweater that looks like a knitted sweater and this is the best design that I came up with. Honestly, I am not a good knitter but I really love the stitches created by knitting and the closest stitch we can use in crochet to create the knit-like stitch are single crochet and slip stitch. I know it feels like forever to finish a project using single crochet or slip stitch but trust me it will worth all your hard work^^

This pattern is actually just a modification of my Easy & Quick Crochet Top, minus the ribbed effect and strap. I tweaked the design into a halter style and open back corset so you can easily adjust the pattern to fit you perfectly.

You can wear this pattern as a bikini top or make it longer to suit your style.

Weave in ends.

Insert the string in zig zag style.

And we’re done.

Lately I've been trying to design a crochet dress/top where I never have to stop crocheting and join all the pieces together later (except when I need to join a new yarn ;p). So I came up with this simple and easy design and I have a lot of ideas using different kind of stitches using the same exact method to create this dress.

This dress is quite easy to make and simply adjustable to any sizes if you understand the steps. I suggest you to watch the video tutorial on my YouTube channel before you try making this dress, so you can get an idea on how exactly this dress was made. You can also try designing your own pattern using the same exact method.

I made a summary for the pattern below for all sizes so you can simply refer to it later without having to watch the video all over again once you understand how to do the increase/decrease and shoulder strap.

Have fun crocheting :)
