This pattern is actually just a modification of my Easy & Quick Crochet Top, minus the ribbed effect and strap. I tweaked the design into a halter style and open back corset so you can easily adjust the pattern to fit you perfectly.
You can wear this pattern as a bikini top or make it longer to suit your style.

Instructions
Size: S/M
Size: S/M
Foundation
chain:
Make a slip knot and ch 25 or as long
as you want your top to be.
Row
1:
Hdc
in 3rd chain from hook and across, ch
2, turn.
Row
2 - 14:
Ch 2, turn your work and hdc in each sts across. Total
14 rows of hdc for the back.
For bigger size add a few more rows
until row 16/18.
Now
we are going to shape the cup and increase the number of stitches.
Row
15:
Ch
4, hdc in 3rd and 4th ch from hook, hdc in each sts across.
Row
16:
Ch
2, turn, hdc in each sts across.
Row 15 and 16 will be counted as the
first pair of rows with the same height. Continue with the increase and make 5
more pairs of row with the same height from row 17-26.
Row
17-26:
Repeat the pattern on row 15-16 alternately.
Continue
to make the string:
Ch 100, sl st in 2nd ch from hook and
across.
After you sl st in the last chain,
continue to hdc in each sts on row 27.
Row
27:
Hdc in each sts across.
Row
28-29:
Ch 2, turn your work and hdc in each sts across.
Now
we are going to decrease the number of stitches.
Row
30:
Ch
2, turn , hdc in each sts across untill 2 sts remain.
Row
31:
Ch 2, turn your work and hdc in each sts across.
Row
32-39:
Repeat the pattern on row 30-31 alternately.
Now we have 6 pairs of increase on the
left side and 6 pairs of decrease on the right side.
If you want to make this top in bigger
size just add a few pairs of increase and decrease on both side.
Row 40 divides the first and second
cup. Start to increase on row 41.
Row
40:
Ch
2, turn , hdc in each sts across untill 2 sts remain.
Row
41-65:
Repeat the steps from row 15-39 to shape the second
cup.
Continue
to make hdc on the next 14 rows for the back.
Row
66-79:
Ch 2, turn your work and hdc in each sts across.
Now
we are going to make the holes for the string.
Ch 2, turn, hdc in nxt st, *ch 1, skip
nxt st, hdc in the nxt 5 sts*, ch 1, skip nxt st, hdc in the nxt 6 sts, repeat
* to *, ch 1, skip nxt st, hdc in last 2 sts. Ch 1, turn, sc in each sts across.
Continue
at the base of the top.
Ch 2, hdc in each of the hdc spaces
along the base of the top.
Continue
to make the holes for the other side.
Ch 2, hdc in nxt 2 sts, *ch 1, skip
nxt st, hdc in the nxt 5 sts*, ch 1, skip nxt st, hdc in the nxt 6 sts, repeat
* to *, ch 1, skip nxt st, hdc in last 2 sts. Ch 1, turn, sc in each sts across.
Ch 1, fasten off.
Make
the string for the corset.
Ch 250 and make a chain. If you want
your string to be thicker, sl st or sc along the chain. Tie a knot at both
ends.
Weave
in ends.
Insert
the string in zig zag style.
And we’re done.

Hi Esther! I have a question about the gauge. The gauge is written as dc but the pattern is in hdc. I'm using cotton thread and a 2.25mm hook. I want to be sure to add the correct number of rows so I wanted to make sure the gauge is supposed to be dc instead of hdc. Going by dc as the gauge I'm doing 35 rows to start, but if it's hdc I'll need change that number. Thank you! :)
